remain on earth, spewed out by Christ to endure the tribulation period. Who will
be left behind? Simply put, all those who forget God. Many profess to be saved in this day and age, but only
those who are truly saved will be raptured. The world’s description of a true
believer is very different from what the Bible declares. Matthew 7:21 states,
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” The church at Laodicea, as described in Revelation
3:14-22, is a church of the worthless lukewarmness. The problem with this church
age is that it is neither hot nor cold. Its light has been put out. It takes great
pride in humanitarian efforts, but cares little about the lost and dying around
them. It is self-satisfying, boasting in their wealth and prosperity, not
knowing that it is truly lost, and in desperate need of spiritual eye salve.
They are oblivious to their condition. This church has never seen themselves as
sinners and in need of a savior. This is an uncanny description of today’s church.
Many church members today think they are saved because they are good people,
acknowledging God, but never actually possessing His Son as Lord of their life.
They go to church occasionally, falsely believing this to be the key to
heaven. Today, you have to convince people they are lost before you can attempt
to share the Gospel with them. I have spoken to many people, whom I knew in my heart
were not saved, but they believed they were. How did I come to this conclusion?
I knew their lifestyle and it was contrary to the Word of God. It always bothers
me when I hear people talking about their salvation experience and bring up the
fact that they used to go to church all the time, but they’re presently a
little backslidden. Or they are a member of this or that church, attributing
attending church or membership as being the key to eternal life. If you are
basing your salvation on your goodness and/or church affiliation you’re going
to be left behind as part of the Lacodicean church age. Unfortunately, many will have to endure the tribulation
period because they thought church membership, affiliation or a symbolic prayer
would get them to heaven. For it is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
and a truly repentant heart that anyone can be saved. If you haven’t committed your life to Christ, I hope
and pray that you will not wait any longer. God loves you and sent His only Son
to die that you might have life eternal. The sad mistake for you my friend is if
you die and go to hell, it will be with your sin penalty paid in full through
Christ. Don’t let that happen to you!Learn what will happen during the tribulation period from beginning to end
