Will The World Freely Worship The Antichrist?; Will They Truly Believe He is God?

HI AGAIN, I WAS READING THE LATEST NEWS REPORT YOU HAD POSTED. I WAS WONDERING
HOW MUCH OF THIS WILL WE SEE BEFORE JESUS COMES? IT'S SCARY. DO YOU THINK THIS
IS SETTING UP THE RAPTURE?
I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD TELL ME ABOUT THE NEW WORLD ORDER? I HEARD ONE PREACHER
SAY IT'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN AND WHEN IT DOES WE ARE OUT OF HERE. THEN I HEARD
ANOTHER PREACHER SAY THERE WON'T BE ONE. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT? THANKS
Answer
The new world order has been going on for over 60 years, but it won't get into
position fully until the Antichrist comes on the scene. That won't happen
until the rapture takes place. When the rapture does take place, the world
will be in complete panic and chaos. But as the Bible says, the Antichrist
will rise thereafter and calm the world. They will believe his lie and
eventually the world will worship him as God (II Thessalonians 2:1-11).
I would have to believe that he will have to do some pretty miraculous things
to get the world to worship him. Of course, he could just flex his military
might and make people worship him, but it would be a false insincere worship
(Revelation 13:4, 15-16; 14:9-11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, 20:4). According to
Revelation 13:3 & 4, "the world wondered after the beast" which
leads me to believe that their worship will be sincere and by choice. I
do not necessarily believe it will be worship out of fear.
The Bible says that he will require everyone to take his mark 666 either on the
forehead or hand (Revelation 13:11-18). The penalty for not taking the
mark will be that they will not be able to buy or sell. Personally, I am
convinced that all who believe his lie will worship him freely. Only those
who have committed their lives to Christ will not take the mark. It is for
these Christians that the mark will be established to weed them out and to
exclude them from functioning in his new world order. Most of these
Christians will eventually be identified, hunted down, and killed.
Frankly, I believe there will be few (if any) who will just take the mark so
they can survive or escape death. Truthfully, Satan is a powerful being
and doesn't need to make people worship or follow him. In fact, Scripture
says, during the tribulation period, "all that dwell upon
the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of
life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation
13:8)."
Case in point, during the Millennial Reign of Christ, Satan will be bound and
taken from the earth for one thousand years. That means for one thousand
years this world will be free from any temptations from Satan or his demons.
Christ will reign supreme during this time and the blessings of God will flow
freely. It will literally be a time of heaven on earth. However, at
the end of the one thousand years, Satan will again be set free upon planet
earth.
One thing should be noted, when Satan is released back on the earth, the world will still be enjoying the same unprecedented blessings from God that they have received from the beginning of the one thousand year reign of Christ. Nothing has changed except the now presence of Satan. You would think that with such blessing and abundance Satan's message of rebellion against Christ the King would fall on deaf ears. I wish that was the case, but unfortunately, not only does he find an audience, but the Bible says his rebellious army will be so large that it is enumerable. Can you imagine a world that has no unfulfilled wants or desires, coming from the Lord Jesus Himself, voluntarily turning on Him and following after Satan? This massive army will not rise because they have been mistreated or neglected. They will voluntarily turn from the Lord and follow hard after Satan and his desires. But in the end, the Bible says this rebellious army will be snuffed out in short order (Revelation 20:1-10).
After this quick and devastating defeat, Satan will again be captured, judged, and cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10). This same Scripture also identifies why this massive army, in the face of Divine blessing, followed Satan to their death...they were deceived! That is the same exact reason the world will worship the Antichrist during the tribulation period and the same reason mankind fell in the beginning.
Everyday we are drawing closer to the rapture. So the answer to your question as to whether the events of today are leading up to the rapture is yes!
