Satan's Final Rebellion During The Millennium
Question:
I have a question for you. After Satan is released from the 1000 years in
the hole (abyss, pit) how can he get us to follow him? i
thought we would be done with sin yet we will be tempted? With Jesus
standing there, people would leave his side to follow Satan willingly? How
scary is that. Does the bible say if we will ALL be on earth. I
don’t know about you, but I'm not leaving my Father's side at the end of that
1000 years!!
That is some scary stuff. i hope you can help me with this. i read
your last question and answer email sent to me and i have been puzzled about
this every since.
Thanks for your time
Answer:
The simple fact is, when Satan is released, he will find many who will follow
Him (Revelation 20:7&8) . It can't be explained or figured out that's
just what the Bible says will happen. It's a fact. It's the same
Satan that convinced Adam and Eve to sin willingly. I would have to say
that no human has ever been closer to the Father than they were. Enoch may
have walked with God but Adam and Eve truly had a Father daughter and son
relationship for which there was none other. They were it, His first human
creation.
Being blessed is not man's problem it's getting his way (selfishness, envy,
covetousness, etc.). That will be the catalyst that will cause man to turn
from God to Satan even in the face of abundant blessing. The awareness of
selfish desires will be the fall of man. We are born with a sin nature.
That won't go away during the Millennium. Satan will only bring to light
and accentuate those desires. He will give confidence to those who already
want to rebel against God to now go through with it. Many will want to
rebel against God throughout the Millennium but will lack the confidence to do
so. That's why God will have to rule the world with a rod of iron
(Revelation 2:27; 12:5; 19:15).
Coming into the Millennium, everyone will be saved, but generations down the
road their hearts will rebel. New generations will be born that will only
give lip service to the Lord. It will not be immediately, but like all
times of revival, those who are not committed will rebel with their hearts .
How far into the 1000 year reign of Christ this will happen is anyone's guess,
but many will be eager. The Bible says that this rebellion will be so vast
that it will be as the sand of the sea in number (Revelation 20:8).
However, the Lord will be fully
aware of Satan’s plan and the rebellious heart of man. He will use this last
rebellion as a means of separating those who truly love Him from those who are
false professors.
The Bible says this battle will end in a flash of lightning! God will
send fire down from heaven and consume the armies of Satan even before they
reach the great city (Revelation 20:9).
It
is most likely that only distant descendants of those who came out of the
tribulation period will be fooled by Satan into rebelling against God. No
Christian will be in that number and especially none that were raptured prior to
the start of the tribulation period. Those Christians will have glorified
bodies and will rule and reign with Christ (Revelation 5:10).
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
