April 25, 2002 Posted: 2110 GMT From Major Garrett CNN Washington Bureau CRAWFORD, Texas (CNN) -- Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah delivered a stern warning to President Bush on Thursday about the risks the United States faces if it continues with a Middle East policy widely perceived in the Arab world as favoring Israel. The president and the prince met one-on-one in Crawford meeting for more than twice as long as the one hour originally scheduled. White House officials said the two leaders spent the time largely alone, but may have at times been joined by senior advisers before the talks ended Thursday afternoon. Adel Al-Jubeir, a foreign policy adviser to the Saudi government, told reporters Abdullah had warned Bush about the direction of U.S. policy in the Middle East. "The crown prince speaks directly, he is sincere and he doesn't mince words -- just like the president," Al-Jubeir said. "The message is, if the violence does not diminish, there will be grave consequences for the U.S. and its interests in the region." Al-Jubeir said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon must withdraw Israeli troops from Palestinian cities and towns; end the sieges of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at Ramallah and around the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem; and submit to a swift U.N. fact-finding mission in Jenin. He said the fundamental difference between the two nations is that "the U.S. thinks Arafat is the problem, and we think Sharon is the problem." Sharon's actions constitute a real threat to peace in the region and could jeopardize relations between the United States and other Arab nations, Al-Jubeir said. "If Sharon is left to his own devices, he will drag the region over a cliff," he said. April 22, 2002 Posted: 1808 GMT From Natalie Pawelski (CNN) -- It's a rare and life-giving source of water in a parched land. But to get to Israel's Sea of Galilee, water has to flow through a tough and thirsty neighborhood -- from Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, then through the Golan Heights. "There really isn't enough water to go around, so there's a high risk of conflict in these countries over who will control these crucial sources of water," says Michael Klare, professor of Peace and World Security Studies at Hampshire College. For Israel and the Palestinians, most water comes from under contested land, drawn from aquifers beneath the West Bank, Gaza and Israel itself. It's water both sides need to survive. "Neither one can live without the water," says Peter Koenig, water resources management specialist for the World Bank. But a growing population is pumping water out faster than nature can replace it. "There's not enough water to grow all the food that the region needs to grow for itself, and provide enough drinking water and water for industry," says Sandra Postel, director of the Global Water Policy Project in Amherst, Massachusetts. END This warning shouldn't be taken lightly but I don't feel that the prince or Arab world in and of themselves have the power to overtake Israel alone. The worst they could do to the U.S. is to start their reign of terror on our soil. This is where Russia will play a big part in the future. The U.S. may advise Israel to end its military action but they probably won't heed their counsel due to continued terrorist threats. I should interject at this time that this war is not a chess match. This is serious business and when it all breaks loose (if we're still here), it will put fear into the heart of everyone on the earth. This won't be Afghanistan or Desert Storm. When the Arab world strikes it will be with all its might and many will die. The second article is just another reason why someone has got to go and why it will come to a boiling point very soon. Simple supply and demand tells you that eventually there will be a life and death water shortage. Something else you should be aware of. The Israeli population is eighty percent Jewish and twenty percent Arabs. This Arab Israeli population may live in Israel but they hate and are hated by the Jews. But here's the real problem. The Arab population is growing at a much faster rate than the present Jewish population. It is predicted, at the present birth rate, that we will see the Arab Israeli population surpass the Jewish Israeli population in our lifetime. What does this all mean? Israel is a democratic nation. Not to many years down the road, as the Arab Israeli population continues to grow, the Jewish Israelis will be in real danger of losing control of their country. They could very easily be voted out of every key political office by majority vote. These Arab Israelis are really true Arabs and pray for the day when Israel will be destroyed. They want the destruction of Israel. Talk about sleeping with the enemy. They wouldn't hesitate to vote out a Jewish government and replace it with an Arab Israeli government. They will have to face this danger very soon. Just some things to think about. Pastor Malone
