Calvary Prophecy Report

US President Barack Obama is back to his old ways of dealing with Israel.  Gone are the gestures of reconciliation.  Gone are the words of unwavering support.  In fact, I would suggest if Israel wants any international backing from this day forward they will have to walk in the footsteps the US has laid out for them.  That includes weapons requests and future help defeating UN resolutions that might come up against them.

Israel is in a very tough international position position and the US is using this against them to further their position.  It's no secret that Turkey, although a member of NATO, has defected to join an unofficial alliance with Russia, Syria, and Iran.  With this departure, they have openly embraced both Hamas and Hezbollah.  Many of these friendships are recent.  Turkey has never had much of a relationship with any of these countries until the last few years.  In fact, Turkey joined NATO out of fear of the former Soviet Union, and Syria and Turkey have had border disputes over land for decades.  As for the relation between Iran and Turkey, it has always been somewhat cooperative economically even when Turkey was a close ally with Israel.  But recently, these nations have formed a strong military alliance as verified by yesterdays security summit meeting in Istanbul.  

These recent prophetic events should not shock you.  Here is a reminder of what has happened in prophecy since 1900:

1900 to present day-In the last days knowledge will rapidly increase (Daniel 12:4). There has been more information produced in the last 30 years than since the dawn of man.  This is startling!  For approximately 5,900 years, man’s primary mode of transportation has been an animal of some sort (horse, donkey, camel, etc.) or walking.  Of course, watercrafts have been used for centuries, but land transportation has been restricted to animals for the majority of history.  Obviously, that has changed over the last 150 years and dramatically so over the past 50 years. Communications has taken a giant leap forward as well. Telephones have led the way, but computers are now taking over as the internet has opened up a new worldwide range of possibilities.  Just last month US scientists (May 21, 2010) created a synthetic cell.  With this discovery comes the very real possibility of creating life itself (see video). 

1922 to present day-The Arab peoples will claim the land of Israel, which God gave to their brothers, the Jews. The prophet Ezekiel says this claim will be made in the end times (Ezekiel 35:5, 10; 36:2, 5). This prophecy has been fulfilled in this century. For almost 2,000 years the Jews were dispersed from the land which God gave them, and during that time period, there was never an Arab state in the area that the world called Palestine. The Arabs who lived in that area considered themselves Syrians. They had no consciousness as Palestinians, and no effort was ever made to create a Palestinian state. When the Jews began returning in the late 1800s, the Arab’s gleefully sold them the land at inflated prices because it was considered worthless. It was World War I that changed the Arab viewpoint. The war resulted in the land of Palestine being transferred from the Turks to the British, and the British immediately proclaimed it to be a homeland for the Jews. Suddenly, the Arabs were confronted with the prospect of a Jewish state, and they began to dig in their heels, claiming the land as their own. The British gave into Arab pressure, and in 1922 they gave two-thirds of Palestine to the Arabs, creating the state of Jordan. This was land that they had promised to the Jews. But this action did not satisfy the Arab appetite. They wanted all the land God had given to the Jews, and they still covet it to this day, just as prophesied.

May 14, 1948-Israel comes back from the dead and is reborn as a nation in one day (Ezekiel 37:10-14; Isaiah 43:5, 6; 66:7-8).  In the last days, Israel will once again become a nation and a generation will not pass away before Jesus comes again (Matthew 24:32-34). Not only did Israel become a nation again, it became a nation in the middle of all its enemies.  How many nations do you know that have accomplished this feat? 1948 to present day-The ruins of Israel will be rebuilt (Amos 9:11 &13).  This has kicked into high gear since Israel became a nation and continues to this day.  The Israel Department of Antiquities and Museums (IDAM) of the Ministry of Education has been the governmental arm for excavation and restoration of ancient Jewish sites and artifacts.  Its powers have been expanded through the creation of the Israel Antiquities Authority.

1950-Beginning roots of today's modern day European Union.  The Bible predicted a new Roman Empire would emerge in the last days that would be lead by the coming Antichrist.  Many believe this union of nations is the fulfillment of this prophecy (Daniel chapters 2 and 7).

October 4, 1957-The Russian Sputnik 1 is the first satellite in space.  The invention of satellites would enable events to be viewed from all over the world .  During the tribulation period it is predicted that two of the Lord’s witnesses will be killed and their bodies left in the streets for all nations to view for three and one half days (Revelation 11:3-10). Obviously, this could only have been possible during this generation via satellite transmission.

May 15, 1967-1967 war begins, and by the end, Israel had reclaimed the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, Sinai Desert, and most importantly, Jerusalem.

January 15, 1990-The Bible predicted in the last days that a nation from the East (Likely China) would march across the Euphrates River with a standing army of two hundred million soldiers (Revelation 9:13-19).  One part of this prophecy states that they will cause the Euphrates River to dry up so that it does not hinder their march of destruction. This was not possible until 1990 when Turkey completed maintenance work on a dam on this ancient river.  Only China or India (Both in the Far East) has ever been capable of fielding an army this large and it could have only happen in the last 80 years.

September 11, 1990-The Bible predicted in the last days the world would be heading toward a one-world government (Revelation 13:2-8). This will eventually come to pass during the tribulation period under the rule of the Antichrist. But there are many forces behind the scenes working toward that goal as we speak. Did you know that there is a very prominent organization called the New World Order? Its main focus is to bring the world together under a one-world government.

US President George Bush, in a speech to Congress on SEPTEMBER 11, (9/11) 1990, SAID THIS: "[The war in Iraq is] a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times...a New World Order can emerge (theforbiddenknowledge.com)."

In a recent speech by US President Barack Obama (May 22, 2010), he called for and said he would pursue a "new international order".  This due mainly to the recent escalation in  terrorism and the global financial crisis. To see the speech click here.

August 20, 1993-The Oslo accords are signed at an official ceremony in Washington, DC between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization.  This understanding would shape the direction of today's Middle East peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.  The Bible says, in the generation before the Lord returns, Israel would sign a peace treaty with the Antichrist and many other nations (Daniel 9:27).

Mid-1990s to present day-In the last days, the Islamic world, led by Russia, will stage an all out attack on Israel (Ezekiel 38 & 39).  Of course, this Russian-Islamic Alliance will be defeated.  For a full list of the nations that will take part in this attack click here. 

If someone had said 20 years ago that these nations would be allies, most would have scoffed at the suggestion.  But in these last days, Russia has been busy building military alliances with every country on the list.  As stated earlier, Russia has built a strong alliance with Turkey, Iran, and Syria to name a few.  Ukraine just recently broke away from NATO to align with Russia.  You can expect other former Soviet nations to follow Ukraine since the Bible says most will take part in this future attack on Israel. 

2000 to 2010-One obvious sign that is beginning to take shape and is garnering considerable coverage in the news media is the sudden increase in earthquakes that have claimed the lives of more than 250,000 people in 2010.  The deadliest decade in history, as far as earthquakes are concerned, was last decade (2000-2009) claiming 650,000 lives worldwide.  We're already at near forty percent of that total in the first few months of this year.  Earthquakes were also the worlds most deadliest natural disaster of the past decade (Matthew 24:4-8).  

Apr 23, 2010-Jerusalem is officially considered the top stumbling block to Middle East peace.  The Bible says that after Israel becomes a nation, before peace would come, they would regain Jerusalem.  That happened in 1967.  The Bible also says, when peace talks do begin, Jerusalem would be the main stumbling block to peace (Zechariah 12:3).  This has happened within this last generation and is going on right now.  

June 4, 2010-"The sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few years we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity. At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms (NASA)." NASA is predicting this coming decade will see an "unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms" which could cause a tremendous amount of damage to to earth's satellite systems.  The Bible says the last generation would be marked by signs in the sun, moon and sky (Luke 21:11 & 25).
