NATO says they will enforce future Middle East peace; Al Qaeda to begin striking US with less expensive terrorist attacks
Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula is promising more small-scale attacks like its attempts to bomb two U.S.-bound cargo planes, which it likens to bleeding its enemy to death by a thousand cuts.
The editors of a special edition of the Yemeni-based group's English on-line magazine, Inspire, boast that what they call Operation Hemorrhage was cheap, and easy, using common items that together with shipping, cost only $4,200 to carry out.
"It is such a good bargain for us to spread fear amongst the enemy and keep him on his toes in exchange of a few months of work and a few thousand bucks," AQAP said in its online Inspire magazine, released on militant websites (MSNBC).
Frankly, I'm shocked it has taken so long for Al Qaeda to come to this strategy. Just after 9/11, I said on one of my prophecy reports (I'll have to look in my archives to verify the article) Al Qaeda would eventually follow this path I look for Al Qaeda to begin concentrating on less expensive targets that I will not mention. I won't mention them for obvious reasons. I will say this, there are millions of local US targets that are virtually unguarded that could yield thousands of casualties. If they ever figure out what these potential targets are, this may be the beginning of II Timothy 3:1 coming in to full fruition.
Here's another reality that I have been talking about for many years. Speaking at the NATO rally on Saturday, Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, stated that NATO would not play a direct role in reaching Middle East peace, but would play a major part in enforcing a Middle East peace deal.
"If a Middle East peace agreement is reached, an international military force will be needed to monitor and implement it," Anders Fogh Rasmussen said (Haaretz.com).
This is exactly what I believe will happen in the coming years. It may not be under the direction and command of NATO, but you can bet a multi national presence in the West Bank and Jerusalem will be needed. I also believe prophecy supports it. In Revelation 11:1-2, John is told to take some measurements in the future Temple. "But the court which is without the Temple leave out and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months."
I have always believed that this is a direct prophecy that Jerusalem would one day be turned into an international city and controlled by a multinational armed force for the sake of peace. This seizure of Jerusalem and their holy sites, will likely take place during the first half of the tribulation period. The city will be trampled underfoot during the final 42 months (second half) of the tribulation period.
