Learn what will happen during the tribulation period from beginning to end

there will be a time period between the rapture and the beginning of the
tribulation period. The length of
that time period is unknown, but it could be as little as a few days or could
stretch into a number of years. It should be pointed out that the seven year tribulation period does not officially begin until the antichrist signs a peace/protection agreement with Israel.
When the rapture occurs, every born again Christian on the face of the earth will be removed. The significance of this is that the Holy Spirit lives in the heart and performs His work through believers (I Peter 1:12, II Timothy 1:14, I Thessalonians 1:5, 6). When Christians are raptured I believe that the work of the Holy Spirit will be dormant during the time leading up to the beginning of the tribulation period. No one will be saved during this time. Then at the beginning of the tribulation period the 144,000 witnesses will be filled, sealed, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. They will then be sent out to evangelize the world just as the early church was on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). The result: Millions will be saved during the tribulation period and the number is said to be staggering (Revelation 7:9-14).
During this lapse of time leading up to the tribulation, the world will change considerably. The shock of millions of people disappearing worldwide will have been forgotten. Without the working of the Holy Spirit, Satan will be free to do as he pleases, within the will of the God of course. Nuclear war could take place sending the world into a perpetual tailspin. Israel could be attacked by Russia and its Arab allies. The antichrist and the New Roman Empire could take their most dramatic steps forward during this timeframe setting up for his entry onto the political forefront. New threats of the war will be breaking out everywhere and the danger will be real. The world will be clamoring for a man to step forward and save them.
Without the working of the Holy Spirit, men will become more godless then ever before. The religious world will adopt a one god fits all philosophy. Religious tolerance will be in full swing and all others will be put to death.
I realize that today’s society is already godless and hater’s of God, but it’s going to get a lot worse. I also realize that men and women across the globe are dying daily for their faith in Jesus. But by-and-large, martyrdom is still not an acceptable practice by the world community. During the tribulation period it will be and millions will die in a very short amount of time for their belief in Christ.
Many today are trying to time the rapture according to world events. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing because the Bible has given us many signs as to the conditions of the day in which He will come. But at the same time he could come tomorrow. We don’t need a peace agreement in Israel for the rapture to take place. The temple in Jerusalem need not be built or under construction for the rapture to occur.
I believe many things could happen after the rapture and before the tribulation period begins that will shape the events for what is to come.
