However doesn't satan have minions that can read your homepage or other similar websights, magazines, and books that would tell him that the end of the world is near and that he is falling into God's trap...somehow I think satan's smarter than that. Of course, that has been satan's primary plan since the first day's in the garden. But he doesn't consider his time short now, nor will he in the
future, until he is thrown out of heaven at the midway point of the tribulation period. "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is
come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Revelation 12:12) This is the first time the Bible actually states that satan knows that he has but a short time. Throughout history satan has used various countries and men to accomplish his work against God and His people. Finally, he will gather his army of demons together and wage war against God in heaven. He will be defeated and cast out of heaven along with his demons. Some believe that the war in Revelation 12 actually took place before man was created. I do not believe this to be true. Revelation 12:9-11 states, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Those verses alone should tell you that the war in heaven mentioned in Revelation does not take place at the beginning of mankind, but is to come during the tribulation period. Satan is described as "the accuser of our brethren...which accused them before our God day and night." If I'm reading this correctly, satan has been accusing the brethren day and night before God since at least throughout the church age. The Bible also states that he had free access before God during the day's of Job as well. But that free access will end at the middle of the tribulation period. Another point I would like to make regarding satan's discerning knowledge of the scriptures. God has predicted a war between His army and satan's army. He Has predicted the time, place, and the amount of angels that will rebel against Him. Don't you think if satan could discern the scriptures, my website, or any other spiritual material regarding this subject, he would change his plans! I know I would and I'm not half as smart as satan! At this point satan somehow knows his time is short. How he knows is anyone's guess. I find it strange that he now has divine knowledge that his time is short, but proceeds to carry out God's plan anyway. Notice his next step is to possess the antichrist and claim those of the earth as his adoring
subjects. I would think if he could discern the Word he would choose a different path than the one perscribed in the Bible. A lot of people believe that satan does know that the end is near because he seems to be right on schedule with Bible prophecy. If he didn't know that time was short why would he be shaping the world for the antichrist to come on the scene? The answer! He's not! God is causing satan to think that he is gaining control of the world. I believe he is unwittingly carrying out God's prophetic plan. God is literally shaping world events and prophecy through satan, causing him to react in the manner that will fulfill His will. The war in heaven will be out of satan's false sense of arrogance that he is finally in control. This is a subject that we may not understand until we get to heaven. Pastor Malone
