Lawmaker: U.S. needs 'peace department'

Message to the
lawmaker proposing a department of peace...We have a department of peace, it's
called the U.S. Department of Defense. We'll have to wait on the
department of peace for when the Lord finally reigns on earth, but until that
day, war and threat of war will be the prevailing method of bringing about peace
to this world. Actually, I can't think of one situation where peace talks
have worked. They may have delayed the inevitable but they didn't bring
long-term peace.
I just love these
revived 1960s peace hippies. They still don't get it. You achieve
peace through strength. That hasn't changed for 6,000 years and don't
count on it changing in the future. We can lay down our arms or let other
nations pursue a program for weapons of mass destruction, but then that would
put them on an even playing field with us. Personally, I don't see the
benefit in doing something like that. I've always believed that as long as
we hold the gun there's not much chance of us getting shot.
The Pentagon is not
saying much in the way of predictions about the war, but I think it's safe to
say this war is about to end. Of course, like any invasion, there will be
pockets of resistance, but don't look for much. Iraqi's all over the world
have dreamed of this day. As word gets out to the Iraqi people that
coalition troops are here to stay a massive celebration will take place that
will make today festivities look like a tea party.
As we begin to sift
through the rubble and sort out mountains of classified documents the truth will
finally be told. Look for those who opposed this war to come out of the
woodwork and jump on the celebration bandwagon. Although I am vehemently
opposed to allowing France, Germany, or the U.N. for that matter, to get in on
the post Iraqi rebuilding, look for the U.S. and Britain to let them play
a part. I'm already hearing a few sound bits of remorse from a few of
these leaders.
If you haven't noticed, since this war began, suicide bombings
or any problems for that matter, have been virtually non-existent in Israel.
Could it be that Iraq was the main source of Palestinian terrorist groups?
The message to Iran, Syria and North Korea has been heard loud
and clear. Those three countries want no part of what happened to Iraq.
This is a prime example of peace through strength and the positive role it can
play to bring about peace.
But don't get your hopes up...war is inevitable and cannot be
avoided. Although there maybe a time of temporary peace, it will not last
and a destruction will follow the likes this world has never endured.
Look for President Bush and Prime Minister Blair to rule the
world, with Bush playing the dominant role (harlot -Revelation 17). Look
for Mr. Blair to go on to become the first permanent prime minister of the
European Union (Revelation 17:12, 13). For these kings will lend their
power to him for one hour (for a short time). Look for the Arab world to
reject the U.S. as a direct partner in the peace accord with Israel. Both the
Afghan and Iraqi wars will bring about a worldwide mistrust of U.S. motives.
This will open up the door for the E.U. to step in and Prime Minister Blair to
sign the peace accord with Israel. He will pledge the security and
protection of the E.U. to both parties, and through this treaty, they will gain
worldwide acceptance.
Of course, this is all speculation, and in time, the truth
will be played out.
My question for you, do you know the Lord today? If not,
your time is running out.
