Saddam In Iraq, Opposition Leader Says(AP) - Saddam Hussein remains in Iraq and is moving around the country, the leader of a U.S.-backed Iraqi opposition group said in an interview broadcast Monday. Ahmad Chalabi, who heads the Iraqi National Congress, told British Broadcasting Corp. radio that his group was tracking Saddam around Iraq, but with a delay of at least half a day on his latest position. "We have received information about his movements and the movements of his sons," he told the BBC.

Lately, I have chronicled what I feel the future holds. How quickly this will transpire is up to the Lord. But there are a few significant events that I believe need further clarification as to what part they may play in the endtimes.
9/11 - The events of 9/11 really opened up the eyes of the world and many prophecy experts tried their best to pin scripture to this tragedy as part of the last days. In my view the significance of this event is found in II Timothy 3:1which says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." From this day forward marked a time of worldwide danger...even in America.
Afghan & Iraqi Wars - These wars, contrary to what many would have you to believe, are not mentioned in the Bible, but do play a significant role in endtime prophecy. There are two things in particular. One, it has showcased and put the U.S. and Britain together as an unstoppable duo. These two men (and especially Tony Blair) have risen to a status that is bigger than their countries. But unless George Bush attends to the domestic problems of the U.S. he will not be re-elected. History has away of repeating itself and that maybe the case for Mr. Bush following Gulf War II.
Two, these two wars have put the Arab world at odds with the U.S. Even though the U.S. is sponsoring a well publicized Middle East peace plan between Israel and Palestine, they won't be the one's to get the deal done. The reason behind this, the Arab world has lost all faith in the U.S. to broker a fair and balanced peace accord with the Arab world. They believe that any deal that is made would lean heavily toward the Israelis. Therefore, the U.S. will not be the superpower to sign the deal. Instead, the E.U. will be the final choice of the Arab world.
New E.U. Constitution Introduced - In August of 2002, the European Union introduced the skeleton for their new constitution. Many proposed changes were outlined, but the most prominent change was a call for a powerful long-term leader. As you may know, the E.U. rotates member leaders every six months. This has proven to be a problem with establishing long-term plans for the E.U.
Tony Blair Is Declared Favorite To Be Chosen As First Permanent Leader Of E.U. - In October of 2002, Tony Blair was declared the frontrunner to be named the first permanent leader of the E.U. He has since declared his desire to hold the position. It is believed that the man that wins this position will be the coming antichrist.
Of course, Tony Blair could ultimately become the first permanent leader of the E.U. and come and go, only to serve one term. That is not out of the realm of possibility. Whether that happens or not, I do believe the person who ultimately signs the Arab/Israeli peace accord will come out of the European Union. The signing of the peace accord marks the beginning of the seven year tribulation period, and the man that signs it, will be the antichrist.
Syria, North Korea, Iran - Syria and Iran will dodge a bullet and won't see the wrath of the coalition. North Korea has always been a loose cannon in my estimation and one day will explode, but I believe it will happen during the tribulation period.
Iran will not be attacked by the U.S. because they are prophesied to be a part of the Russian attack (on Israel) that will take place during the early part of the tribulation period (Ezekiel 38-39). Syria maybe a part of this attack as well.
Pakistan & India - Only the divine hand of God has held off nuclear catastrophe from taking place between these two countries. During the tribulation period His hand will be lifted.
Conclusion
Only the Lord knows what the final outcome will be, but I am convinced that Revelation 17 described the final form of government in the last days. That final form of world government being the United States and the European Union.
Look for the leader of the E.U. to be the signer of the peace accord with Israel. I believe it will be Tony Blair only because of his strong ties with the U.S. and he is seen as a friend of Israel's. If he is voted in as the first E.U. permanent leader look for him to make the Middle East peace accord his number one priority. If you remember, he was the leader that said the key to world peace was through solving the Israeli/Palestinian conflict (Article# 149). Look for him to make it a reality after he becomes their leader.
Much has been said about terrorism over the last few years. Look for the U.S. and Britain to virtually eliminate the threat of terror. Ultimately, the antichrist will gain world recognition through his defeat of world terrorism and the peace accord with Israel.
Iraqi War Update: As I stated in an earlier article (Article# 184), all would come out, and we would hear of the atrocities and find evidence of nuclear (and chemical) weapons in Iraq. Even in the little time that has passed we are beginning to find overwhelming evidence that Saddam had a very extensive weapons program. Now liberals are back peddling and diverting attention to the looting going on in Iraq. Someone needs to tell them that's what happens in the process of a regime change.
