Reports are circulating widely regarding both Abu Ala's resignation as PA Prime

EU
Firm On Palestinian State By 2005
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Despite failing to meet any deadlines
on the Road Map to Peace, the EU's foreign policy chief has said he still thinks
a Palestinian state should be created by 2005.
Speaking before the European Parliament on Thursday (9 October), in a speech
entirely devoted to the Middle East, Javier Solana said that although having a
Palestinian state would be "ambitious" and would require more
engagement from the international community it should still be done.
EU-Wide
Petition For Christianity In Constitution
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Following the beginning of the intergovernmental
conference to finalise the draft
Constitution, a campaign has been launched all over Europe for a reference
to Europe's Christian
heritage to be explicitly mentioned in the text.
"Whilst acknowledging the remarkable improvement of the text of the
Preamble making an inclusive reference to the religious heritage of the European
identity and civilisation, the explicit absence of reference to the Christian
heritage is deplorable", says a petition that is to be sent to European
Commission President Romano Prodi, EU President-in-office Silvio Berlusconi,
European Parliament President Pat Cox and the Treaty's architect, Valéry
Giscard d'Estaing.
Constitution
Referendum Crisis Looms
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Even while governments are bickering
over the final version of the EU Constitution, they are well aware that a
greater problem lies ahead: ratification of the document in each of the 25
member states.
As more and more EU leaders say they will put the Constitution to a referendum,
the big political question of what to do when one country says no has not been
answered.
Speaking at the launch of a *Handbook on referendums, Alain Lamassoure, a
Conservative MEP and strong advocate of a European-wide referendum on the
Constitution says there will be a "major crisis" if several countries
turn down the new Constitution.
Comments
The E.U. constitution is still under fire. Several
countries are still on the fence on whether they will ratify the
constitution. With all the turmoil in the E.U. they are begging for a
leader to step forward and make this look easy.
Although a petition is circulating to have Christianity included in the E.U. constitution I don't think it will matter. Even if it is included, when the antichrist declares himself to be God, he will abolish that immediately.
It has been rumored that Yassar Arafat is ill with stomach cancer. Could it be God's time to remove him from being an obstacle to peace. With Arafat out of the picture the E.U. maybe able to meet their deadline for a Palestinian state by 2005. Many believe if he does die it could lead to outrage and possibly war.
