Israel Admits Land Concessions A Must
TEL AVIV, Israel - Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Thursday that Israel will be forced to make territorial concessions as part of future peace efforts, but also warned Palestinians that time was running out for them to reach a negotiated settlement.

Police Taking Christians Into Custody In New Crackdown
Owners of Bibles are the target of a crackdown on "illegal religious organizations" by police in southern China's Guangxi province.

Up to 40 policemen descended on the homes of Christians in villages in Xilin county in the middle of the night, ransacking them in search of Bibles and other religious materials, according to written testimony supplied to Agence France-Presse.

France, Germany and UK Hold Talks On Military Issues
The 'big three' EU countries France, Germany and Britain were last night holding talks to agree how Europeans could establish an independent planning unit for military missions.

Israel admits that it must give up some land to get the peace efforts back on track, but don't expect that to change anything.  It's possible that Israel could make a peace agreement outside of the antichrist, and while at peace, be attacked by the Russian-Arab coalition.  I believe this attack will take place after the antichrist steps forward (during the tribulation period), but anything could happen.  It's a stretch, but it's possible that this attack could take place before the rapture.  The reason I say this is because in Ezekiel 38:23, after the attack has taken place and the enemies of Israel are defeated, the Bible states that the whole world will marvel "and they shall know that I am the Lord."  It also says, "Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations".  I'm not sure that will happen during the tribulation period.  It's true that many (during the tribulation period) will attributed the plagues to be at the hand of God, but it will only serve to further harden their hearts (Revelation 9:20, 21). 

France, Germany and Britain are taking the lead role in building the E.U. defense department.  Something tells me that these three could be the trio that the antichrist will have to subdue during the tribulation period (Daniel 7:24) .  My scenario would be that they will think him to mad when he declares himself to be God and rebel against him.  It wouldn't surprise me if it is looked upon as another rise of Hitler.  They will not allow that to happen and will rebel against the antichrist.  They will be crushed in their efforts to defeat him.

As you give thanks this weekend, remember those who are persecuted and die daily for their faith in the Lord in countries that do not have the freedoms we enjoy.
