Big
Three Plan Regular Meetings
Germany, France and the UK are planning to have regular
meetings to strengthen their common position at the European level.
According to a German government spokesperson, the leaders of the three largest
member states will meet before the EU Summit in March to assess how to proceed
with the failed EU Constitution talks.
Euro
Hailed As 'Unsung Success'
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Far from being a flop, the euro was
today hailed as an 'unsung success' by Britain in Europe - a UK campaign group
lobbying for Britain to join the single currency.
Five years after its official introduction as a currency and two years after the
launch of euro notes and coins, the twelve countries that have adopted the euro
have enjoyed increased trade and investment, falling unemployment, stable prices
and growing productivity, says the group.
Britain, Denmark and Sweden - whose voters rejected the euro in a referendum in September - remain the only three countries to be inside the EU and outside the euro zone.
U.S.
Asserts Progress By Mideast Rogue States
Bush administration officials said that over the last year the United States has
hampered what they termed the terrorism and weapons of mass destruction policies
of such countries as Iran, Iraq, Libya and Syria. They said the fall of the
Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein has prompted changes in Iran, Libya and Syria.
The U.S. achievements were listed as the following. The destruction of the Saddam regime in March 2003; Syria's agreement to cooperate against Al Qaida; Iran's signing of the Additional Protocol of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in December and Libya's agreement to end its WMD and medium-range missile programs. Officials said the administration has also envisioned lifting sanctions from Libya and eventually from Iran.
Libya's
Nuke Program Larger Than Envisioned
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Libya could have built a larger weapons program than that
asserted by Britain and the United States.
British and U.S. officials said an International Atomic Energy Agency inspection of at least four Libyan nuclear sites in the Tripoli area points to a larger nuclear infrastructure than that assessed by the West in 2003. They said the infrastructure includes up to dozens of centrifuges for the enrichment of uranium. A nuclear weapons program usually requires thousands of centrifuges.

Nothing major to report to you today. The euro was
hailed a success. No surprise there. A number of years ago I
reported that the European Union predicted that they would rival the U.S.
economy by 2010. It maybe sooner than that!
The big three E.U. countries, Germany, France and
Britain are planning to meet on a regular basis to iron out some of the problems
that face the union...mainly the constitution. I have a sneaking suspicion
that they maybe the three nations that the antichrist will have to subdue
(Daniel 7:24) if he is to have absolute power.
The U.S. and Britain are starting to tighten down on
rouge nations. They're also sending a stern message that if they persist
in cooperating and supporting terrorist groups they maybe next. After
witnessing the swift devastation of Afghanistan and Iraq many of these countries
are beginning to wake up and get in line. We'll see what happens in the
future.
I heard on a news broadcast today that Al Qaida was planning a major attack sometime soon. The intelligence department said the next attempt could be to destroy an entire U.S. city. That could possibly mean they are in possession of a suitcase bomb. But on the other hand, they could be deliberately sending over false claims to dilute and neutralize the readiness of our security forces. Personally, I believe our days are numbered before they make good on their promise.
Bush and Blair seem to be pushing their collective
weight around lately. I think they'll both score very big points this year
in their fight against global terrorism. In fact, terrorism and the
ability to control it maybe the ticket to both the White House and the future
E.U. presidency. If a major strike takes place again, the world will want
someone in charge that's not afraid to deal with it swiftly and
decisively. Bush and Blair have proven they're right for the job.
Just something to think about.
I have been reading articles from experts all over the
world that have stated they believe 2004 will be a year of decision for the
Middle East. Many point to the deadline for a Palestinian state as the
biggest threat to stability in the region. I tend to agree and see the
possibility of war or peace in the air.
Something big seems to be building for which the world has no control over. Are we on the threshold of the final hour? Do you know the Lord? If not, your time maybe running out!
