If you haven't read the article entitled Report:
Al-Qaida Has Obtained Tactical Nuclear Explosives... you need to click on
the link and read the whole story. According to sources, Al-Qaida has
purchased suitcase size nuclear devices from Ukrainian
scientists and has had them since 1998. Their goal is to detonate as many
as possible on U.S. soil. Here is an excerpt from the article.
"The sources said Al-Qaida doesn't intend to use the weapons against
American forces in Muslim countries, "due to the serious damage" it
could cause. But that decision is subject to change, the sources said, if Al-Qaida
"is dealt a serious blow that won't leave it any room to maneuver."
The possibility of detonating the nuclear devices on American soil was also
raised in the report, although no details were given.
The sources were quoted as saying that Al-Qaida activists have hidden the weapons
- each of which is about the size of a suitcase - in "a safe
place.""
The report has not been confirmed, but this has been a real concern since the
breakup of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s.
It should reiterate that this report has not been confirmed.
