Sharon
To Present Disengagement Plan Next Monday
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will present his disengagement plan to the Knesset
next Monday, reported Israel Radio Thursday afternoon.
The move follows a demand by 40 Knesset opposition members. The law stipulates that such a demand, backed by a third of Knesset members, is binding.
Meanwhile, Sharon's top security advisers recommend that Israel withdraw from virtually all of the Gaza Strip and dismantle up to 24 West Bank settlements if peace efforts remain frozen, reports Associated Press.
The recommendations were made by the National Security Council, which was asked by Sharon to come up with a plan for a unilateral Israeli withdrawal.
Israel
Again Revises Security Fence
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, responding to
U.S. pressure, has decided to again revise its security fence and barrier
project.
Officials said the latest revisions sought to ensure that the route of the security fence would run along the old 1967 border parallel to the West Bank. They said the new fence, despite a government decision in December 2002, would not encompass major Israeli communities in the West Bank.
Iran
Freezes Inspections Of Nuclear Facilities
Iran froze international inspections of its nuclear facilities
indefinitely Saturday, hours after the UN atomic agency issued a resolution
censuring Tehran for hiding suspect activities.
Comments
Israel is very close to disclosing their final
disengagement plan. So far it only includes a withdrawal from the Gaza
Strip, but the U.S. and Egypt are putting pressure on Israel to also include a
complete pullout from the West Bank. When it is all said and done, look
for Israel to pullout of the West Bank as well.
The U.S. has also put
considerable pressure on Israel to alter its security fence length and route.
It is their desire that it run along the pre-1967 border instead of the existing
route which would include settlements in the West Bank. Again, Israel will
eventually succumb to outside pressure.
Iran's secret nuclear
plans were uncovered earlier this month by Israeli intelligence officers. In
response, international inspectors have decided to censure them for very
suspicious behavior. So in response to their response Iran has decided to
kick all nuclear inspectors out indefinitely. But they're (inspectors)
confident that inspections will probably resume soon, but not before Iran finds
a new hiding place for their illegal nuclear arsenal. You can bet Iran
isn't giving up on their development program no matter what the inspectors do or
say.
It's unfortunate, but
it's only a matter of time before our enemies start disclosing to the world that
they are a genuine nuclear threat. I've often said, if we knew how close
we were to a nuclear holocaust it would scare us to death.
With the threat of
nuclear proliferation becoming more and more a possibility, and if the Lord were
to delay His return, I often wonder how much longer this world can go on before
some mad man decides to plunge us into a darkness we can't even imagine?
I truly believe that it has only been by the grace of God that we have eluded this fate to this point. But how much longer will His grace abound?
Are you ready to meet
the Lord? If not, your time is running out! But worst than the
terror of the tribulation period is the fact that you could die tonight.
And then where would you be? Friend, if you can't answer that question
with confidence and assurance that heaven would be your home, it's high time you
made up your mind tonight. Don't wait another minute! Join me in
praying this prayer of salvation tonight:
Father, I know that I
have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry,
and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive
me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died
for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I
invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from
this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do
Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
If you've prayed this
prayer of salvation with true conviction and heart, you are now a Christian.
This is a fact, whether or not you feel any different. Religious systems may
have led you to believe that you should feel something - a warm glow, a tingle,
or some other mystical experience. The fact is, you may, or you may not. If you
have prayed the prayer of salvation and meant it, you are now a Christian. The
Bible tells us that your eternal salvation is secure! "that if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Welcome to the family of God! We encourage you now to find a local church where
you can be baptized and grow in the knowledge of God through His Word, the
Bible.
