Today is one of the biggest
election days in U.S. history. It’s
too close to call at this point. My
preference would be that President Bush would get four more years but some early
exit polls have given Senator Kerry the edge.
Whether he will pull this out in the end is anyone’s guess.
As far as prophecy is
concerned there’s nothing in the Bible to point to a victor.
I did receive an email from a reader of mine who sent me a link to a
website for which the author claimed to have heard from God that President Bush
would be defeated.
Of course, I don’t take
much stock in these types of 50/50 predictions.
With a poor economy and a war dominated term the election should be
Senator Kerry’s to lose. I’m
still convinced that this election isn’t about getting Kerry elected but
getting Bush out of office.
But back to prophecy.
This election has nothing to do with prophecy. The prophetic calendar has already been set and there’s
nothing we can do to change that. No
one man can change the direction America is heading…not even Bush and any
possible Supreme Court Justice’s he may choose.
One point should be made.
Even in a global world the U.S. sets the stage for so many things around
the world. But one thing they
don’t have any control over is what the Lord has planned for the future.
Even satan doesn’t know what must come.
For almost two thousand years he has been attempting to bring his
antichrist (I John 4:3) to the forefront but has been restrained by the Holy
Spirit (II Thessalonians 2:1-12).
Many believe that the
antichrist is alive and well on the earth being groomed by satan for his
triumphant entry into his kingdom. As
you know, I don’t necessarily believe that.
Yes, I do believe that satan is grooming or about to choose his
antichrist but He doesn’t know what God is about to do.
satan doesn’t have any idea that the rapture is about to take place nor
is he prepared for what will follow.
