Palestinian
Leader Abu Mazen: Israel's Handover Of Gaza Is Not Enough For An
End-Of-Occupation Determination
DEBKAfile Sat,

He is now demanding more territory cut out of Israel to the north and east of
Gaza. Israel’s withdrawal followed the boundaries Yasser Arafat signed
onto for the Palestinian Authority in the 1993 Oslo Peace Framework accords.

LOUISIANA DEATH TOLL MIGHT TOP 10,000...
BATON ROUGE, United States (AFP) - US Senator David Vitter said that the
death toll from Hurricane Katrina could top 10,000 in Louisiana alone.
"My guess is that it will start at 10,000, but that is only a guess," Vitter said, adding that he was not basing his remarks on any official death toll or body count.

Iran Has Gas For Uranium Enrichment
VIENNA, Austria -
Iran
has produced tons of the gas used in uranium enrichment since last month, when
it resumed the process that can be used to make nuclear weapons, a U.N. report
revealed Friday.
U.S.
Likely To See Suicide Attacks
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States should brace for the prospect of
suicide attacks against mass transit such as those that rocked London in July
2005.
Egypt
Deemed Leading Buyer Of Weapons
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Egypt has been deemed a leading consumer of military
platforms and weapons.
The Congressional Research Service said Egypt has become the third largest buyer of weapons over the last four years. CRS, a division of the Library of Congress, said in its latest report that Egypt purchased $6.5 billion worth of weapons from 2000 to 2004.
PA
Has Double The Weapons Allowed
JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel has assessed that the Palestinian Authority has
deployed at least double the amount of weapons allowed under a 1995 accord in
what could lead to anarchy in the Gaza Strip in 2006.
Israeli officials said that according to a military assessment the Palestinian Authority has accumulated far more weapons than that allowed under the accords signed with Israel. They said PA security forces have about 40,000 weapons, double the number stipulated in bilateral agreements, and this could be used to fuel internecine strife as well as war against Israel within six months.

Comments
Palestinian Leader Abbas has told Israeli leaders that Gaza is not enough and
that more land would have to be turned over. That was to be predicted.
They will chip away at Israel until Israel finally says no more then they will
attack. Sharon and Abbas will meet sometime later this month for their
first summit since the Israeli withdrawal.
The Palestinian Authority has double the weapons they are allowed, Egypt is
now the third largest buyer of weapons over the last four years, Iran now has
fuel for uranium enrichment to produce nuclear weapons, and Syria is looking to
purchase long-range missiles (of course for peaceful means) from North Korea.
I read an article the other day that said Syria maybe looking to strike the
U.S. troops in Iraq. It maybe in anticipation or preemptive against a U.S.
strike. Whichever is true I can't see them going it alone. If this
happens you can bet Iran and a few others maybe in the mix.
But the build up of Arab military power and especially Iran thumbing its nose
at the world is not a good sign. If they are successful, look for a host
of other nations to follow. It's no wonder the Bible said "This know
also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." (II
Timothy 3:1) We may shake our heads at the present state of the world, but
when rogue nations start developing nuclear weapons that's when the real fear
will come.
The Rand Corp. said in a report that the United States in all likelihood will
be the next target of suicide bombers that have previously struck Europe and
Asia. The attacks will most likely center on the U.S. mass transit system
such as buses, subways, and airlines. I do look for this to happen in the
near future.
U.S. Senator David Vitter has said there maybe as many as 10,000 dead in the
aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This is a terrible tragedy I wouldn't want
anyone to go through.
I mentioned back in December 2004 that I believed the frequency of
devastating natural disasters would increase from that time forward and the
world would take notice. I still hold to this belief and look for this
pattern to continue.
Certainly, I don't know anymore than what the Bible has already foretold in
scripture, but I have to wonder if the Lord isn't giving us a foretaste of a
very horrible time known as the tribulation period.
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great
earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became
as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree
casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the
heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the
great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and
every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks
of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us
from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
(Revelation 6: 12-17)
This horrible day has not come yet, but one day it will.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
