Sharon Had Brain Disease; Treatment May Have Caused Stroke
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was suffering from an undiagnosed brain disease
that can be worsened by the blood thinners he was taking before his massive
stroke last week, the Haaretz newspaper reported Tuesday. If the disease of the
blood vessels in the brain had been diagnosed when Sharon suffered a first
stroke on Dec. 18, doctors most certainly would have not prescribed the blood
thinners due to the risks.

Minister's health situation, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said
that the death of Ariel Sharon would be a serious defeat for US policy in the
Middle East, state-run radio reported.

Doctors for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon say he is showing
signs of continued improvement but give little to no hope that he will ever lead
a normal life again. Apparently, Sharon had an undiagnosed brain disease
that was aggravated by the blood thinners he received as part of the treatment
for the stroke he suffered back on December 18th.
Many Christians are pondering why Ariel Sharon suffered this stroke at such a promising time for Middle East peace? Televangelist Pat Robertson, along with many Christians, believe he was struck down because he divided the land of Israel and was poised to do the same with Jerusalem. Certainly, the prophet Joel does state that those who divide God's land are at enmity with Him and this will prove to be the case in the future. But I have a hard time believing that was the reason he was struck down. If that be the case, President Bush should be the next person to be rushed to the hospital. News sources state that he is essentially forcing Duty Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to allow Palestinians living in East Jerusalem to vote in the upcoming Palestinian elections (http://www.debka.com). He's certainly played a major role in dividing Israel.
This is old news, but guess who else is looking for the soon return of the Messiah? Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! Of course it's the Muslim Messiah. According to Shiites, the return of the Messiah, the Mahdi, is very close, and Muslims must prepare themselves to rule the world.

Is it possible that God will use this belief as the catalyst to spark this attack?
Wolfgang Schüssel, chancellor of Austria has warned France and Belgium not to try and build an inner club or core Europe. With the backing of José Manuel Barroso, European Commission president, he said any attempt to do so would be divisive and could cause problems for the E.U. who's trying to emerge from a 'grim 2005'.
Eventually, I believe many of the core E.U members will break free and form a ten nation kingdom. The Bible is clear that in the last days the antichrist will rule ten kingdoms in which he will subdue three (Daniel 7:24). If we are to believe that the European Union is the future kingdom of the antichrist something is going to have to happen to reduce that number to ten. Of course, the core ten could be the ruling ten with many other nations in the second tier. This is definitely a possibility, but the finally formation of this kingdom probably won't come together until after the rapture of the church. Personally, I believe the world will change dramatically following the rapture of the church.
