UN inspectors will be allowed to access the former Lavisan military site in
Iran, denial of which has been a burning factor in a US-European Union push to
refer Iran to the UN Security Council over suspicions it is secretly trying to
develop atomic bombs.
Arab diplomatic sources said a Russian delegation arrived in Cairo in mid-January to renew nuclear energy cooperation. The sources said the two sides discussed a Russian proposal to develop a civilian nuclear infrastructure in Egypt that would include power reactors.

Iran and Russia apparently have come to a partial
arrangement to form a joint venture to
enrich uranium on Russian territory. Part of the the proposed plan calls
for Iran to bring in more partner nations to help verify that the enriched
uranium fuel is used for its intended purpose.
The plan is still in the beginning stages and many are skeptical that Iran will be able to escape being referred to the U.N. for possible sanction. With the deadline looming, Iran seems to be taking its time in getting a deal done. Although I don't believe the Bible supports it, this could certainly result in a military strike from either Israel, the U.S. or both. But I expect Iran will come to its senses before any military action is taken.
This story's (Iran nukes) been kind of lost in the shuffle due to the latest turmoil over the crushing victory by terrorist group Hamas. Both Hamas and Fatah have been embroiled in protests and gun battles over the last couple of days. The world is in shock over how a democratic election process could have elected a terrorist group to lead the future Palestinian state. This is definitely a worldwide nightmare that many see as an insurmountable obstacle to peace. But the U.S. and virtually the rest of the free world are putting enormous pressure on Hamas to lay down their weapons and recognize Israel's right to exist. So far they are doing neither and Israel refuses to sit down with them until they do. Israel has also refused to allow Hamas officials to travel between the West Bank and Gaza.
Eventually, I believe Hamas will give into world pressure and do what is politically correct. I also look for them to take on a more diplomatic look masking their real objective from the rest of the world. Their goal is still the same but their end will be devastating.
Surprise! Russia and Egypt have resumed talks on nuclear cooperation and plan to build a number of power reactors. Of course, it will be for peaceful means, but isn't this how we got into this mess with Iran? We should remember that this union is God ordained. The Bible foretells that Egypt will take part in the Russian-Arab Alliance that will attack Israel during the last days (Ezekiel 38 & 39).
Many prophecy experts believe that the U.S. backed roadmap will turn out to be the peace treaty that the antichrist will ultimately confirm. Sometime following, the Russian-Arab Alliance will attack Israel. The Bible says this attack will happen during a time of peace for Israel in which they will be dwelling safely within their own land (Ezekiel 38:10-15). That time of peace has not come to pass yet...but it will.
