Pledges To Stand Firm In Row With West
TEHRAN - Iran's top leadership on Thursday vowed no compromise on its nuclear
dispute with the West, which President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said would suffer
more than Tehran if it continued to confront Iran's atomic ambitions.
Speaking a day after it became clear the U.N. Security Council would take up
Iran's case, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei -- the ultimate
decision-maker in the Islamic state -- urged officials not to give in to Western
pressure.

Olmert
Says He Will Set Israel Borders In Four Years
AFP via Yahoo! News Thu, 09 Mar 2006 2:49 AM PST
Acting premier Ehud Olmert, the frontrunner for the March 28 elections, has
fleshed out a key election promise in vowing to set Israel's permanent borders
within four years if his Kadima party wins.
True, Labor and Likud are still lagging far behind the new Centrist party formed by Ariel Sharon only a month before he was felled by a massive stroke, propelling Olmert into the job that he could only dream of for the 40 years in politics.
But even though there are only three weeks left until Election Day, three weeks are a long time in Israeli politics, especially when so much of these elections have been unprecedented, and so much of the elements of the campaign are still quite mysterious. For example, what exactly holds Kadima together, other than what its ads argue -- Ariel Sharon’s legacy. But as reports this week proved, at least part of Sharon’s legacy was systematic political corruption, with cronyism, nepotism and plain old payoffs in the form of cushy jobs for political allies or their relatives. It is true that Israel voters seem to admire a bit of corruption in their leaders, on the assumption that decency equals vulnerability in this part of the world.

Says Iran Has Enough Uranium Gas To Make 10 Nuclear Weapons
The United States has alleged that Iran has enough uranium gas
to make 10 nuclear weapons and has called for new inspections in the Islamic
Republic, a diplomat in Vienna told AFP Wednesday.
A senior US official made the claim at a closed-door meeting in Vienna of the
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations' nuclear watchdog,
the diplomat said.

Unless something miraculous
happens we are heading for a war with Iran that could take many twists and turns
before it's over. Certainly, I don't know the future but I can make an
intelligent analysis based on what is known in scripture. Here are a few possibilities
I see for the future:
1. Iran and Russia could work out a deal to enrich uranium outside of Iran and agree to have it monitored. This is very possible and may lay the ground work for the future Russian led Arab attack
2. Iran could cave into pressure from the world and agree to have their nuclear program monitored. This would only serve to slow Iran's nuclear program down forcing them to go further underground.
3. The U.S. could back down, but based on the past, I don't see Israel allowing Iran to go unchecked.
4. The U.S., Israel or both will attack Iranian nuclear sites with success severely crippling their program for years to come. I have to believe Iran will retaliate against Israel in some way, but the attack will be squelched by a superior air force and the Arrow 2 anti-ballistic system. If this scenario does come to past, I don't believe ground troops will be used by either country. But if the U.S. is involved, Iran will make life miserable for them in Iraq sponsoring waves of insurgents and suicide bombers. I highly doubt they would officially send troops into Iraq to fight against the U.S.
5. Iran could secretly develop a nuclear bomb before anyone can prevent it. The U.S. claims that Iran has enough uranium gas to make ten nuclear weapons. If this is true, Iran could be planning a secret test detonation in the very near future. If it goes undetected, which probably won't happen, they could conceivably announce that they are a nuclear power very soon.
At this time, nobody really knows exactly how far along Iran is in their nuclear program, and if the aforementioned scenario happens, both Israel and the U.S. will be forced to make some very hard decisions that I don't believe they are ready to make. The truth is, once Iran becomes a nuclear power I don't expect to hear anymore talk from either the U.S. or Israel about attacking Iran. It all boils down to Iran reaching the point of no return before Israel or the U.S. strike...which literally could be days away.
6. I never rule out the fact that the Lord could come and rapture the church at any time. Personally, this 'rumor of war' could be the beginning of birth pangs that could rocket the antichrist into prominence (first seal judgment). With the threat of war the antichrist could be poised to thrust onto the world stage and defuse the situation with a peace plan. Many believe he will confirm the present Middle East peace accord that is on the table at this time. It will produce world harmony for a short time and Israel will finally live in peace and safety for the first time since their rebirth back in 1948.
But when the second seal judgment is broken world war will break out and by the end of the fourth seal judgment this war will have claimed one quarter of the world's population. It's very possible that the Russian-Arab attack (Ezekiel 38 & 39) on Israel will take place during this great war.
When the dust settles, the antichrist will emerge victorious. From that day forward the world as we know it will change forever. Then the end will come.
But before the antichrist can be revealed the saints must first depart (II Thessalonians 2:3).
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
