Hamas 'Willing' To Recognize Israel
The Hamas-led Palestinian government is willing to recognize Israel if the latter withdraws fully from West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip.

Iran Leader: 'We Are A Nuclear Country'...
Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed Thursday that Iran won't back away from uranium enrichment and said the world must treat Iran as a nuclear power. the comments were made as Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, arrived in Tehran for talks aimed at defusing tensions over Iran's nuclear program.

Iran 'Could Produce Nuclear Bomb In 16 Days'...
April 12 (Bloomberg) -- Iran, defying United Nations Security Council demands to halt its nuclear program, may be capable of making a nuclear bomb within 16 days, a U.S. State Department official said.

Iran will move to ``industrial scale'' uranium enrichment involving 54,000 centrifuges at its Natanz plant, the Associated Press quoted deputy nuclear chief Mohammad Saeedi as telling state-run television today.

Russia, China Slam Iran's Nuke Plans
TEHRAN -- The world's leading powers, including Russia and China, joined the United States in expressing heightened concern yesterday over Iran's advancing its nuclear program in defiance of the United Nations.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in Washington, urged the U.N. Security Council to take unspecified "strong steps" to preserve its credibility. The Russian government repeated its assertion that force could not resolve the dispute.

The Hamas led Palestinian government has done an about face toward their policy with Israel.  Reports have indicated that they may now be interested in recognizing Israel...that is an Israel that will completely withdraw from West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.

I'm no prophet, but I do see Israel agreeing to this at some point and it maybe sooner than we thing.  They are desperate for peace.  Of course, something could ignite at any moment and set the talks back for months and maybe even years.  We must realize that this is all in God's timing and He will make it come together when the time is right.

The U.S. State Department has said that Iran could have the capability of producing a nuclear bomb in sixteen days.  I'm no nuclear expert but that's startling to me. 

I still don't believe Iran will achieve nuclear status mainly due to the fact I just don't believe the Bible supports it.  What's more likely is that the U.S., Israel or both will stage an air strike that will set Iran's program back many years.  Whether they will retaliate is immaterial. 

I realize some maybe saying that the retaliation is not immaterial...it may be part of the attack on Israel found in Ezekiel 38 & 39.  I don't believe that will be the case.  Ezekiel 38:11 & 14 both say that Israel will be "dwelling safely" within their own land when the Russian-Arab attack takes place.  I firmly believe that the antichrist will bring peace to the region first then this attack will take place.

Certainly, the U.S. and Israel could bow to international pressure not to attack Iran allowing them to join the nuclear club, but this would be a grave mistake.  I realize many in the U.S. and throughout the world do not favor a strike against Iranian nuclear sites.  The truth of the matter is the fall of the U.S. started when we allowed anyone outside of the five permanent U.N. members to become a part of the nuclear club.  Former President Ronald Reagan was right...peace can only be achieved through strength.
