Israeli intelligence sources say that Syrian President Bashar Assad is looking to start a war with Israel in the near future.  Sources say that after seeing Hizbullah's success against Israel, Syria may feel they are ready to take on the Jewish state.

"We see signs of a new strategy in the Syrian military based on the lessons from the Hizbullah war," an intelligence source said. "It could take months until the picture becomes clearer."  http://www.menewsline.com/stories/2006/september/09_25_2.html

Hizbullah also seems to be gearing up for a round two with Israel.  According to Lebanese officials, they have been moving rockets and heavy weaponry to Palestinian camps in south Lebanon very close to the Israeli border.

During the war with Hizbullah, Israel was able to destroy many of their bunkers and command sites, but they are now heavily in the process of rebuilding.

"The Lebanese Army doesn't have the authority to patrol inside the camps," said the official. "Hezbollah knows it is safe there to rebuild their war bunkers, and they began doing so with Iranian help." http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52137

According to Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, they have more than 20,000 rockets aimed at Israel.

As if the world, and especially the U.S., didn't have enough to worry about...two Al-Qaida operatives have recently visited the world's most accessible nuclear facility the National Science Institute at Vinca near Belgrade.

Michael Durst, a senior manager at the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency had this to say about the Serbian institute and its vulnerability:

"Vinca is unique in the amount of uranium stored within the facility, over two tons. About 30 percent of this is now leaking. The remaining caretaker staff at the institute are doing their best to deal with the situation. But they are poorly paid and our concern is that some employees could be tempted to sell some of the material themselves or allow terrorists access to it. It would have to be a well-organized theft to transport the fissionable material and the risks for those involved would be high. But if someone was ready to take the risk with their lives, it could be done.

The site is top of our global priority list of unsecured uranium sources," said Durst. "At present it is easily accessible to an organized attack." http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52114

The threat of nuclear attack is greater than its ever been and the likelihood that it will come at the hands terrorists multiples every time they find a vulnerable site.

It is my belief that the next world war will be started by terrorism and it will be during our generation.  Whether it will happen this side of the rapture is unknown but certainly can't be ruled out.

As I was doing research for this article, I ran across a link titled WHAT TO DO IF A NUCLEAR DISASTER IS IMMINENT!

Certainly, I'm not a big proponent of hiding out in a deep underground bunker in fear of what may come but I do believe in education and preparedness...and this article proved to provide both at a minimal cost (if you have a basement).

One of the more important things I learned from this article is, with a little knowledge, the vast majority of people can survive (with the exception of those at ground zero) even the most devastating nuclear attack.  And depending on how prepared you are your chances of survival can increase to as much as 99%.  But time and the amount of radioactive exposure is critical.  As you may know, the initial explosion of a nuclear weapon will only be responsible for killing a small percentage, whereas, the radioactive fallout that follows will claim the majority of lives.  But there is good news!

"Radioactive fallout from a nuclear explosion, though very dangerous initially, loses its intensity quickly because it is giving off so much energy. For example, fallout emitting gamma ray radiation at a rate of 500 R/hr (fatal with one hour of exposure) shortly after an explosion, weakens to only 1/10th as strong 7 hours later. Two days later, it's only 1/100th as strong, or as deadly, as it was initially.

That is really very good news, because our families can readily survive it IF we get them into a proper shelter to safely wait it out as it becomes less dangerous with every passing hour."  http://www.ki4u.com/guide.htm

If you have a basement, it could cost you as little as $100.00 (or less) to prepare yourself for a crisis I hope you will never have to face.

Read the article!  I think you will find it very informative and eye opening.  I did cross check the information in this article against other sources and it seemed to be right inline with what other experts were saying.  To go to the article click on WHAT TO DO IF A NUCLEAR DISASTER IS IMMINENT!
