As I looked at Yahoo's top seven world news
headlines two of them had a direct connection to Israel. Don't you find
that absolutely mind boggling. A nation of their size dominating world
news. No other nation I know of has such a world impact.
One of the news articles stated that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that Iran was moving along in its nuclear program and soon would come to its completion. Whether that's a trick play out of the North Korean playbook is anyone's guess, but I'd certainly take him seriously.
One think I'd keep in mind...the progress of Iran's nuclear program could be a clear barometer as to how close we may be to the rapture of the church. Of course, it's not an exact science, but I'd keep it in the back of my mind. Again, Ahmadinejad might just be blowing smoke to get the U.S. to negotiate with them. They may not admit it openly, but they, along with North Korea, would love to be welcomed back into the world community sanctions free.
I think they may get their wish when the antichrist comes on the scene. It would not surprise me if he (antichrist) figured a way to bring the likes of North Korea, Iran, Syria and Israel together in the name of peace giving each full immunity with a clean international slate. One thing we should remember, the antichrist will be unlike anything the world has ever seen. He will be a smooth talker and it is very conceivable that he could convince North Korea and Iran to abandon their nuclear ambitions. He may even talk Israel into giving up their nuclear weapons and rely on his protection.
Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu believes that what is happening today in Iran is a lot like what was happening in 1938 just before the start of World War II and the Holocaust.
"It's 1938 and Iran is Germany. And
Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs," Netanyahu told delegates
to the annual United Jewish Communities General Assembly, repeating the line
several times, like a chorus, during his address. "Believe him and stop
him," the opposition leader said of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
"This is what we must do. Everything else pales before this."
While the Iranian president "denies the Holocaust," Netanyahu said,
"he is preparing another Holocaust for the Jewish state." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/787766.html
I have to agree and I believe we are living in the day when we will see this come to pass.
As Christians we should see this day with anticipation with the rapture of the church in mind. If you're a Christian and don't believe in the rapture...that's okay...you still get to go.
Are you ready to meet the Lord? If not, your time is running out!
