Question
Dear Mr Malone:
Hey its been a long time, nice to see you doing well. Quick question. There are two men who have never died, elisha or elijha and enoch. When will they die. Will they be the two witnesses in the tribulation period?
Help me out here.

Answer
Dear Brother:
Good to hear from you. Your question, will Elijha and Enoch be the two witnesses in the tribulation period?
It's very possible that they may. Why most believe that they maybe the two witnesses is because they did not die but God took them. This belief is based upon the passage found in Hebrews 9:27, "And as it is appointed unto men to die once, but after this the judgment". Obviously, many will not die who have lived in this world. First, those who are raptured will not die. At least not the traditional way. Second, not everyone will die at the end of the millennium.
When we pass from this life to the next we will be given a new spiritual body. This earthly body will pass away. Whether we die a natural death or are taken by God, we are still dead to this world and have to be given a spiritual body. If you drop dead while reading this email you will be given a new spiritual body if you know the Lord. When Enoch and Elijah were taken they were given heavenly bodies. When we are raptured we will be issued new spiritual bodies and we will not die the traditional earthly death. But we will pass from this life into the next. I can believe that many Bible teachers would disagree with this view, and they can, but I feel this is the only explanation for this passage of scripture (Heb.9:27).
Obviously, many will not leave this world by traditional death, so I'm not so sure that dying in this world would be a criteria of their selection. I can say that whoever comes back as the two witnesses (I feel it will be Moses and Elijah because they were together with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration), I can assure you, won't be in a good mood.
