Rumor: Israel To Strike Iran Nuke Sites Soon If U.S. Doesn't

The suggestion is that the Israeli government has served notice on the White House that it must take pre-emptive action against Iran's sites of nuclear weapons development - or Israel will go it alone and do the job itself. Israel has apparently given Bush a deadline of six months.

The ENPI agreement for years 2007-2013 began on January 1, 2007.  Some believe this agreement is the foretold beginning of the seven year tribulation period.  As I look around at some of the prophecy websites that proclaim this I haven't seen much fanfare.  Certainly, if this is to be the case, we'd better start seeing construction going up in Jerusalem for the new temple.  As you know, Bible prophecy declares that midway through the tribulation period, the antichrist will march into the temple, stop the sacrifice and proclaim that he is God (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13:5-8).  If January 1 is day one of the tribulation we have only three and one half years to see a temple materialize for the antichrist to desecrate.  For more information on this topic go to Article# 588:Why The 2007-2013 ENPI Probably Won't Be The Seven Year Peace Agreement.

There are rumors flying in much of the world that Israel is gearing up for a pre-emptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.  Apparently, Israel has given the U.S. six months to take action or else.

This ultimatum (if true) comes on the heels of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad orders to kick Iran's nuclear program into high gear.  Of course, his mindless rhetoric about wiping Israel off the face of the earth hasn't helped things either.

Many are worried that Israel's new Deputy Prime Minister Avigdor Lieberman maybe to quick to react. After all, most experts believe Iran is still three to four years away from creating a nuclear bomb and a strike would create huge world problems.

Even if a strike were proven successful it would kill many civilians since some of the facilities are located in heavily populated areas.  According to General John Abizaid, U.S. commander for the region, "It would invite immediate and devastating retaliation. The Revolutionary Guards could launch a global terrorist campaign and the Iranian Air Force could bomb the offshore gas installations stretching along the Gulf from Qatar. These are tense times, and as we come closer to mid 2007 (when most military expert predict a major war with Israel will take place), look for them to get even more tense.  

I'm a firm believer that even though we may not know the exact time the Lord is coming, God has given us enough Biblical clues that we will not be caught unaware (I Thessalonians 5:1-5).
