supreme leader: Iran will give crushing response to US, if attacked

In Saudi Arabia today, rival terrorist groups Hamas and Fatah reached a power-sharing agreement that looks to put an end to months of infighting in the Palestinian territory. The agreement states that Hamas will head the government and will respect all past peace agreements with Israel. But this agreement looks to be heading for a stonewall due to the fact that Hamas would not adhere to the three principles that the Israeli government wanted...the recognition of Israel, acceptance of all former agreements and renunciation of all terror and violence.

Both the Israelis and the US State Department will be taking to a wait-and-see approach on this agreement. In Washington, State Department deputy spokesman Tom Casey said "we'll see what any final agreement actually looks like and we'll have to make an evaluation from there" as to whether it meets international demands. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070208/ap_on_re_mi_ea/palestinians_summit;_ylt=AnTFolT4DPJGL.LpI3B.es0EtbAF

Eventually, Hamas is going to have to recognize Israel even if they don't mean it. With billions of dollars on the line in frozen and unfrozen assets they can't afford to continue to mismanage the financial future of a proposed Palestinian state.

I am convinced that there are big things to be announced in the very near future regarding peace in the Middle East but it probably won't come to pass until after Christians are raptured. I do believe the rapture will come soon but that doesn't mean tomorrow or even six months. Certainly it could be years from now or it could happen today. But either way, it's around the corner as far as God's timetable is concerned.
