Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is facing the political battle of his life.  After receiving poor remarks in a recent report (Winograd Report) for his handling of last summer's war with Lebanon (Hezbollah) many are calling for his resignation.  I would be shocked if he was still Prime Minister by the end of the summer.

About a month ago, I brought you a report that the US was planning to strike Iranian nuclear sites before the end of April 2007.  Obviously, that didn't happen but we're not out of deep water yet.  

US intelligence has now come to the conclusion that their earlier assessment of Iran creating a nuclear bomb by 2015 has been accelerated to as soon as 2010.  Given their recent technological advances, this report falls in line with intelligence from other military experts from around the world.

Armed with this new assessment, many believe that a strike on Iran's nuclear facilities is only a matter of time.  Rumors are circulating that Israel will be called upon to strike Syria while the US deploys against Iran.  This ties in with the assessment that Israel will be at war with Syria by this summer.

Others are projecting that Israel will be called upon to handle the strike using US weaponry and fighter jets.  Whatever the case, most agree that a strike on Iran is imminent and the clock is ticking.

Obviously things don't look good and war seems to be very close, but looking at Scripture, we know that Iran will be around to play its part in the Battle of Gog and Magod (Ezekiel 38).  

I have to admit, a part of me is looking for the rapture to take place any day now followed by the man of sin coming on the scene bringing peace to the Middle East.
