US pressure on Israel for a Palestinian state forseen; Yesha Council: beware of steps towards Palestinian state

In secret talks between Palestinian and Israeli negotiators representing their respective leaders, Palestinian negotiators have said that they will not except any peace deal that does not turn over complete control of the Temple Mount to them. According to sources, Israeli Prime Minister Olmert said that he would be willing to talk about possible joint control of the Temple Mount.

"A chief Arab negotiator told WorldNetDaily's Aaron Klein that 'there can be no agreement with Israel unless we get complete sovereignty of the Mount. Once Palestinian control over the [Temple Mount] is fixed, then we will make assurances for Jewish visits to the site.'" http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/123432

The secret talks are designed to lay the groundwork in preparation for the upcoming November Middle East peace conference hosted by the United States. Its goal is to have something significant to bring to the peace summit unlike past peace summit.

Besides Temple Mount control other issues that are being discussed are refugee right of return, permanent borders, and the division of Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.

Israeli President Shimon Peres is also floating a plan that would give away virtually all of Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians, along with a number of Arab-Israeli city's located in pre-1967 territory.

It's not shocking that Israeli Prime Minister Olmert is even considering giving away the Temple Mount as part of the peace negotiations. In fact, it's really a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. Personally, I don't believe that Israel will obtain complete control over the Temple Mount until after the War of Gog and Magog predicted in Ezekiel 38 & 39. When this war takes place God will crush Israel's Islamic enemies and destroy the Mosque of Omar (located on the Temple Mount) with a great earthquake. The power and furry in which this army will be destroyed will bring fear and trembling to the Arab world so that they will never return. In victory, Israel will claim entire sovereignty over the Temple Mount and will immediately begin rebuilding the Temple. After this stunning and shocking defeat against incredible odds, no one will stand in their way.

As far as Judea and Samaria is concerned, even if it is bartered away in a peace agreement, Israel will undoubtedly regain it following this great war.

What does the immediate future hold for Israel? Will they be at war with Syria soon? Only God knows the future, but eventually this will happen. Whether it will be alone or alongside Russia and Iran is the question.
