Biden calls for 2-state solution in Middle East
US Vice President Joe Biden said on Saturday that the United States would work to achieve a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians.
"It is past time for a secure and just two-state solution. We will work to achieve it, and to defeat the extremists who would perpetuate the conflict," he told a security conference in Munich.
"And, building on the positive elements of the Arab Peace initiative put forward by Saudi Arabia, we will work toward a broader regional peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors."
He also said the United States was willing to talk with Iran, but will act to isolate and pressure Tehran if Iran continues its current course and does not abandon its nuclear ambitions and support for terrorism. Ynetnews.com

This year, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will focus on the return of Jesus Christ and help prepare believers for life in the last days, according to a recent announcement.
"People ask me, 'Do you really believe that Jesus Christ is going to come back to this earth again?'" writes the Rev. Billy Graham in one of the several resources that the ministry is providing on the End Times.
"Yes, I do,” he continues. “The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again. And I don’t see any other hope, because we’re heading toward a catastrophe in our world." The Christian Post
Israel will be electing a new leader on Tuesday, and the polls are projecting the winner looks to be hardliner Benjamin Netanyahu. Where this will lead as far as the future of the Israeli-Palestinian talks is unknown. If elected, it will be interesting to see if Mr. Netanyahu will be able to resist global and US pressure to create a Palestinian state. It will also be interesting to see how he will conduct business with Hamas. At this time, Hamasis trying to negotiate a deal that would allow them to control some of the passageways in and out of Gaza. If agreed upon, it's unlikely they would stick when Netanyahu comes to power. He has already made it clear that he is not bound to any of Mr. Olmert's previous agreements...and that includes with the West. His election could definitely put future peace developments at a standstill if the world will allow it. That will be the big question.
Vice President Joseph Biden has announced that US is willing to talk to Iran but that their present course is unacceptable. The European Union is also taking a stand against Iran's nuclear direction indicating that further sanctions could be around the corner.
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has announced that it will turn its focus to the return of Christ and help believers prepare for this coming event. I have always believed that God always sends forerunners to prepare the way for an event. The end times is no exception! Whatever you may think about this organization, their main focus has always been evangelizing a lost and dying world. I consider this included focus by this major Christian organization to certainly be of God and a sign that He is preparing the world for this major event. If you have not made a decision for Christ, it's time to do so...for tomorrow may be too late!
